MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD AT THE SHED
ON MONDAY 1ST NOVEMBER 2010


President Bill opened the meeting with a welcome at 12.30 p.m.
Present: As per Attendance Book - 13 members.
Apologies: Cliff Chambers, Claude Williams and Brian Molyneux.
Minutes: It was moved by G. Russell, seconded J. Cook, that the minutes of the October Meeting as circulated be confirmed. CARRIED

Matters Arising from the Minutes: Nil.

Correspondence In:
1. Carol Burgoine - Thank You Card.
2. Shoalhaven City Council - Curtis Reserve.
3. Integral Energy - Christmas Decorations.
4. Australian Men's Shed.

Correspondence Out:
1. Integral Energy - Application to mount boards in Shoalhaven Heads Road.
2. Application for new power connection to Shed.
3. Claude Williams - Get Well Card.

It was moved by R. Stewart, seconded A. Foster, that the Correspondence In be received and Out be endorsed. CARRIED

Business Arising: Nil.

REPORTS
President Bill reported that the Shed is operating well. Machine shop is looking good. Shed sign was positioned and mounted.
Treasurer Ken circulated his report, which is attached to these Minutes in the Minute Book. He asked if there were any questions. Cliff Pennells asked if the Barbecue tin should be out? Answer - not at the present moment.

Shed Manager Apology from Claude.

Project Manager Ray reported that there are only two jobs left. Primary School donated shed has been erected and benches finished to be put in place on Monday 8th November.

Tool Maintenance Manager Graham reported that the small linisher needed a new belt and disk. He would obtain. Thanks to operatives for cleaning floor.

Fund Raising Allan reported that the Bowling Club had cancelled 30th October Market Day. Unfortunately most of the buying had been done. It will be used up for the Matt Brown visit and Christmas Party this month.

Secretary Alan congratulated Treasurer Ken on behalf of the Shed members on being sworn in as a Justice of the Peace for the State of New South Wales. Alan also reported that there would be a master set of keys with a key register.

It was moved by R. Tilley, seconded C. Pennells, that the reports be received. CARRIED

GENERAL BUSINESS
* KEN - taking orders for Shed T. Shirts, Polo Shirts and Windcheaters. Members spoke on the T. Shirts being used for work, as they are not as hot. A notice will be placed on the board when T. Shirt price is obtained.
* SECRETARY - * Matt Brown and Bomaderry Bowling General Manager Garry Wilbrahams will be in attendance on Monday 15th November at 11 a.m. Shed Christmas Party is on Tuesday 23rd November at 11 a.m. Clelland Lodge members will be attending. Alan and Bill to discuss extras for the day.
* Floor Painting. Alan suggested that the floor needed repainting as, although it cleans well, it is not wearing well. Don Driscoll will be asked to advise.
* Christmas Signs. Suggested date for erection of signs is to be (pro tem) Saturday 27th November. Will advise.
* Gardens President Bill will organise a working party.
* JOE - asked a number of questions relating to the Shed in the way of mowing, parking, bollard placements, suggested gates, all of which were replied to by the Executive satisfactorily.
* KEN - The Heads Chamber of Commerce is looking for a community service sponsorship. He will keep us informed as we may be tasked with this project.
* BEN - spoke of the possibility of swapping his trailer for ours. He explained his situation. This matter will be in the hands of the Executive to fully discuss, remembering the long-term loan problems of the past.
* CLIFF - Apology for the December meeting and Christmas greetings to the Shed Members.

There being no further business the meeting closed at 1.40 p.m.
The next meeting will be held on Monday 6th December - barbecue at 11.30 a.m. and meeting at 12.30 p.m.
