MINUTES OF THE GENERAL MEETING HELD AT THE SHED
ON MONDAY 1ST MARCH 2010.


President Graham opened the meeting at 12.30 p.m.
Present: As per the Attendance Book - 15 members.
Apologies: B. Molyneux, P. Shalala, P. Armstrong, B. London, C. Pennells, C. Chambers, N. Alfonso and a belated apology from new member, Joe Cook.

Minutes: It was moved by J. Davis, seconded W. Owens, that the minutes of the previous meeting, as circulated, be confirmed. CARRIED

Correspondence In:
1. H. Meehan - resignation;
2. Bomaderry Bowling Club - G.D.S.E. reminder;
3. Curtis Park Arboretum - letter of thanks;
4. Tony Abbott and Jo Gash - invitation to afternoon tea;
5. Clelland Lodge - thanking us for their visit;
6. Mrs. Lawson - letter of thanks, parts payment, donation.
7. Australia Post - post office box rental
8. Shoalhaven City Council - fee for removal of garbage by the use of bins (which we do not have);
9. Deputy Mayor G. Ward - thanking Shed for community work.

Correspondence Out:
Clelland Lodge - Official invitation for visit.
It was moved by R. Steingrube, seconded K. Merrifield, that Correspondence In be received and Out be endorsed. CARRIED

Business Arising from Correspondence:
Post Office Box: It was moved by A. Webb, seconded R. Steingrube, that the Shed share the cost of the Post Office Box with the Chamber of Commerce, by paying the fee every other year. CARRIED

REPORTS
Treasurer Ken Merrifield's report was circulated and is attached to the Minutes in the Minute Book.

Shed Manager reports that attention has been given to keeping the benches and premises tidy and thanks all involved.

Project Manager reports that only four jobs are to be looked at. The trailer should be finished this coming week if the tyres arrive.

Equipment Manager reports that all is O.K. in the workshops. Ray Plumb and C. Tipping will operate the Tool Stall at the Red Cross Market.

Fund Raising It was moved by K. Merrifield, seconded A. Foster, that a letter be sent o Bunnings Nowra management to the effect that we propose to not operate their Barbecue Stall for this year. CARRIED
A list was circulated for Red Cross Easter Saturday Market Day. A. Foster to contact re times.
Flyers to be made up re the Red Cross Market Day and a request be asked of Anne-Louise O'Connor if they could be included in her newsletter for April. A. Webb and K. Merrifield to design and make up.
Two sandwich boards are needed for advertising. Workshop to make up.

It was moved by W. Owens, seconded R. Steingrube, that the reports be received. CARRIED

GENERAL BUSINESS
" Clelland Lodge. Request from Catherine Bryant that we meet with them at the Lodge this month. A. Webb to advise.
" Visit by Beckom School - Wednesday 24th March 2010. A clipboard list was circulated for those members attending the Barbecue following the trip 'up river'. This is for work party and catering. A further list was circulated for the morning tea at the Community Centre to farewell the Beckom party. It was asked of members to bring down balls, cricket sets etc. on the day.
" Shed Shirts. A list has been started for the purchase of new shirts, sloppy Joes and caps. List is on the Notice Board.
" Concrete Pad. It was moved by K. Merrifield, seconded W. Owens, that the Shed accept the quote of $4,400 from P.V.B. Concrete for the new extension slab and white ant treatment. CARRIED

There being no further business, the meeting closed at 2 p.m.
Due to East Monday the next meeting will be held on the second Monday in April
- i.e. 12thApril 2010
- barbecue at 11.30 a.m. and meeting at 12.30 p.m.
