MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD AT THE SHED
ON WEDNESDAY 1ST APRIL 2009

President Graham opened the meeting at 12.50 p.m.


Present: as per the Attendance Book - 16 members and one visitor, Geoff Padfield.

Apologies: As per the Annual General Meeting.

Minutes: Moved C. Maynard, seconded A. Foster, that the minutes as circulated be confirmed.

Matters Arising: Nil.

Correspondence In:
1. Shoalhaven Tourist Board;
2. Card from L. Mulley;
3. E-mail from Shed Locator (deferred to General Business)..

Correspondence Out: Nil.

It was moved by W. London, seconded K. Merrifield, that the Correspondence In be received.

Business Arising:
K. Merrifield explained that although we have had correspondence from the Shoalhaven Tourist Board relating to our grant application for the picnic shelters, Council's Parks and Gardens might have the funds out of their budget.

REPORTS

Treasurer: As per the sheet attached.

Shed Manager: reports that the Shed has been left very untidy of late. It appears we have need for new vac. bags for the Karcher and K. Merrifield will look into a new hose for the industrial vacuum. Bags will be purchased on Sunday from Bunnings.

Project Manager: provided a list of completed projects as follows: -
Mr. A. Knapman - clean and seal driveway - donation $50 - Alan W;
Mr. and Mrs. Donougher - new leg for china cabinet - donation $50 - Trevor A.
D. Riddell - repairs to 2 chairs - donation $50 - Brian M. and Alan W.
There is also a list of new projects that have been taken care of by various members.

Equipment Officer: reports that everything in the workshop is now in good repair. Secretary Alan reported that his wife, Pat, would be pleased to provide a completed property list, with information supplied by G. Russell, A. Webb (office), R. Steingrube and A. Foster (catering and fund raising), commencing some time after Easter.

Fund Raising: New officers Richard S. and Alan F. report that the Bunnings Barbecue on Sunday 5th April is in hand. Blanching is complete, Bunnings contacted on the affirmation and crews selected for Sunday. Secretary Alan reports that we have been asked to conduct a 'Bunnings style' barbecue at Mountain Ridge Winery during the Shoalhaven Wine Festival on the long weekend in June. Alan will inspect the site. Ken reports that there were over 5000 visitors for last year's Festival. More discussion next month.

GENERAL BUSINESS
" Web Site: It was moved by K. Merrifield, seconded R. Steingrube, that Ken will design a new Web site for the Shed and will reply to Shed Locator (Correspondence No.3).
" Camera: Moved W. London, seconded R. Randall, that the Shed purchase camera from K. Merrifield for $70.
Secretary Alan will secure it. CARRIED
" Working Bee: There will be a working bee on 10th, 11th and 12th April for clean up and removal of rubbish to tip.
" Book Sale: President Graham reports that we have received multiple donations of pre-loved books. We will have another Big Book Sale and Garage Sale after our equipment check. More discussion next month.

There being no further General Business, President Graham closed the meeting at 2.00 p.m.
