MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AT THE SHED ON MONDAY 3RD MAY 2010


President Bill opened the meeting at 12.30 p.m.
Present: As per the Attendance Book - 14 members.
Apologies: R. Harlow, J. Cook, N. Alfonso, D. Pollock and B. Patton.
Minutes: It was moved by C. Pennells, seconded G. Russell, that the minutes as circulated be confirmed. CARRIED

Matters Arising from the Minutes: Nil.

Correspondence In:
1. P. Shalala - resignation;
2. A. Webb - Card whilst on holidays;
3. Shoalhaven City Council - Community Partnership Programme.

Correspondence Out:
1. C. Tipping - acknowledgement of resignation;
2. R. King - acknowledgement of resignation;
3. J. Davies - acknowledgement of resignation;
4. Mrs. N. Alfonso - Thank You Card;
5. Mrs. J. Cook - Thank You Card;
6. Mr. N. Alfonso - Get Well Card;
7. Mrs. H. King - Sympathy Card.
It was moved by R. Steingrube, seconded A. Foster, that Correspondence In be received and Out be endorsed. CARRIED

Business Arising from Correspondence:
Secretary Alan advised the meeting that past member Bob King had passed away on 16th April 2010.

REPORTS
Treasurer's Report was circulated and is attached to these minutes in the Minute Book.
Shed Manager - reports that the Shed is looking well considering the work that is in progress.
Project Manager - We are gradually whittling down the jobs in the workbook. The R.D.A. job was completed this morning to the Manager's delight at the R.D.A. Office.
Equipment Officer - reports that he has bought two new hammers to replace the ancient ones we had on the premises and that he hopes to be able to move equipment into the old social area.
Fund Raising and Catering Manager - reports that we will be conducting a food stall at the Bowling Club on Saturday 29th May. A roster pad was sent around resulting in eleven volunteers. Allan also reports that the butcher from Bomaderry is now supplying all our requirements.
It was moved by R. Randall, seconded K. Merrifield, that the reports be received. CARRIED

GENERAL BUSINESS
" Treasurer Ken hopes to have the new shirts, sloppy joes and caps available by the Club Market Day.
" Secretary Alan was instructed to ring Council enquiring about Men's Shed sign for the Celia Park signpost.
" The men from Clelland Lodge have been made Associate Members and will receive certificates and complimentary caps. They will also be invited to the official opening of the Shed.

" Shed Extension Supervisor Graham Russell advised that the Council Building Inspector called this morning at 11.30 a.m. to inspect the work up to date. He has given his approval to now install electrics, insulation and gyprock wallboard, which will commence as soon as possible.
There being no further business, President Bill closed the meeting at 12.55 p.m.
The next meeting will be held on Monday 7th June - barbecue at 11.30 a.m. and meeting at 12.30 p.m.
