MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD AT THE SHED
ON WEDNESDAY 3RD JUNE 2009
President Graham opened the meeting at 12.35 p.m.
Present: As per Attendance Book - 22 members (our largest attendance to date).
Apologies: C. Chambers, T. Aspin, P. Bounds.
Minutes: Moved by R. Randall, seconded W. Owens, that the minutes as circulated, be confirmed. CARRIED
Matters Arising from the Minutes: Nil.
Correspondence In:
1. Mayoral invitation - Volunteers Morning Tea.
2. Shoalhaven City Council - Re funding for extension.
3. Shoalhaven City Council - Dialogue Magazine.
Correspondence Out:
1. Harry Thompson - Acceptance, with regret, of verbal resignation.
2. Kevin Huckel - Acceptance, with regret, of verbal resignation.
3. S.C.C. Dialogue Magazine - advised change of meeting date and phone number.
It was moved by R. Steingrube, seconded C. Pennells, that the Correspondence In be received and Out be endorsed. CARRIED
Business Arising from Correspondence:
1. Mayoral Invitation - G. Russell and A. Webb to attend (so advised by telephone).
REPORTS
Treasurer: Ken Merrifield circulated his report as per sheet attached to these Minutes in the Minute Book.
Shed Manager: Shed is now tidy as members are cleaning floor and benches.

Equipment Manager:
Reports that the band saw and sanding machine are temporarily out of order and that the pedestal drill chuck key is missing as well as a 4 ½ " hand plane.
In relation to O.H. & S. signs - they have been requested but have not as yet arrived.
Moved by D. Pollock, seconded Richard Steingrube, that President Graham and Vice President Bill arrange training sessions - will liaise with Secretary Alan for any paper work needed. CARRIED
Secretary:
Advised members that 2009/10 subscriptions are now overdue - final date for renewal is 30th June.
Minutes and Newsletters - will be published over our website (www.headsmen'ssshed.com.au) and hard copies will only be delivered to those not on line. Please advise Secretary.
Signs - Various signs have been displayed in workshop, kitchen and social area all relating to health and safety as well as kitchen cleanliness. Paper towels are adjacent to sink for drying hands instead of tea towels.
Whiteboard - Please use this board in workshop area to record any needed replacement of parts, missing items and breakdown of equipment - also advise committee member.
Loan Book - situated in filing cabinet - please fill out.
Order Book - Treasurer Ken advises that the order book for purchases MUST be filled out. Instructions are on cover.
Fund Raising:
A. Foster advised meeting that arrangements either have been made or will be made for 6th and 8th June at the Mountain Ridge Winery.
Garage and Book Sale - arrangements are in place and advertising has been completed both in The Heads News as well as flyers in town and Nowra. R. Steingrube volunteered to place flyers.
Sale will commence at 8 a.m. with breakfast of bacon and egg rolls for members from 6.30 to 7.30 a.m. and to the public after we set up.
It was moved by R. Steingrube, seconded D. Pollock, that the reports be received.

GENERAL BUSINESS. Nil.
There being no further business, President Graham closed the meeting at 1.20 p.m.
NOTES. There are a number of members using the Shed for mainly project activities and painting on Fridays. Please feel free to join in. Allan Foster is endeavouring to get all his Christmas motifs finished for display.
Rob Stewart should have possum boxes and bird feeders available at our Garage Sale - Saturday 20th June. If you have anything for sale please get in touch; bring it down; don't leave it at home.
The next meeting will be held on Wednesday 1st July at 12.30 p.m. preceded by the barbecue at 11.30 a.m.
