MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AT THE SHED
ON MONDAY 4TH OCTOBER 2010
President Bill opened the meeting with a welcome at 12.30 p.m.
Present: As per the Attendance Book - 17 members.
Apologies: There were no apologies.
Minutes of the Previous Meeting: It was moved by K. Merrifield, seconded Ben Patten, that the minutes of the September Meeting as circulated be confirmed. CARRIED
Matters Arising from the Minutes: Nil.
Correspondence In:
1. Matt Brown - Community Water and Energy Upgrades.
2. Clelland Lodge - Thank You for 11th September.
3. Mrs. Barbara Power - Thank You for Sympathy Card.
4. Mountain View Craft Group - Thank You card.
5. Chubb - Fire Safety Compliance Certificate (new room).
6. Kordan - Certificate (termite barrier new room)
7. Curtis Park Arboretum - re parking proposed in Curtis Reserve.

1. Neil Southorn, Shoalhaven City Council - re parking in Curtis Reserve.

It was moved by C. Pennells, seconded by A. Foster, that the Correspondence In be received and Out be endorsed. CARRIED
Business Arising from Correspondence:
Curtis Reserve Parking. It was moved by D. Driscoll, seconded R. Stewart, that the Shed members would be available to put parking bollards in place according to specifications supplied by Shoalhaven City Council. CARRIED
REPORTS
President Bill remarked that the Shed is working well, with good attendance each day. He also remarked that the storeroom is now being left in a tidy condition.
Treasurer Ken circulated his report, which is attached to these minutes in the Minute Book.
Shed Manager Claude reports that the whole area is now much cleaner and tidier than previously.
Project Manager Ray reported that few jobs are now left in the book.
Tool Maintenance Manager Graham reports that both bandsaws are temporarily out of action and repairs are in hand. Please consult Graham for any further information. Lathe is now operational.
Fund Raising. A. Foster reported that the Red Cross Markets, although not a complete success, did well and all ex-freezer goods were cooked and served. He also mentioned that supplies for the October Bowling Club Market on Saturday 30th October are now in hand and purchasing should be limited to rolls, onions and tomatoes. He also thanked those members, recorded in the book, who attended and Bill Owens for the laundry also recorded.
Secretary. No report.
It was moved by R. Stewart, seconded, R. Tilley, that the reports be received. CARRIED
GENERAL BUSINESS
" Christmas Signs. Permission to be sought from Integral Energy and Rod Larkins to be contacted re cherry picker availability. Action - A. Webb
" Shed Sign. The newly made Shed sign (Brian Molyneux) has now been painted (Don Driscoll) and is ready for mounting. We thank both members. Action - W. Owens
" Gazebo. Ken Merrifield suggested that a new gazebo and new cover for the old Bunnings gazebo be purchased. So moved by K. Merrifield, seconded by N. Alfonso. CARRIED Action - K. Merrifield
" Barbecue Shed Floor. It was reported that the timber floor has been split and is now dangerous to walk on. It was moved by G. Russell, seconded R. Stewart, that the Shed place a concrete floor in the Barbecue Shed. CARRIED Action - G. Russell
" Holiday Mondays/January Meetings. Secretary Alan brought up the need to place on the books "No adjustment to Holiday Mondays and suspension of January Meetings". So moved by C. Pennells, seconded A. Foster. CARRIED
There being no further business, the meeting was closed at 1.30 p.m.
The next meeting will be held on Monday 1st November - barbecue at 11.30 a.m. and meeting at 12.30 p.m.
