SHOALHAVEN HEADS MEN'S SHED
MINUTES OF THE GENERAL MEETING HELD AT THE SHED
ON 5th SEPTEMBER 2011


President Bill opened the meeting with a welcome at 12 noon.

Present: As per Attendance Book - 10 members.
Apologies: A. Foster, L. Crockett and R. Plumb.
Minutes of the Previous Meeting: Moved by B. Molyneux, seconded N. Alfonso, that the Minutes as circulated be confirmed. CARRIED

Matters Arising from the Minutes:
" Notice Board - has been placed on wall.
" Gutters - still to be cleared.
" Arboretum Request - has been a change in plans.
" Machine Room Wiring - all wiring has been checked and signed off from day one of this Shed.
" Endeavour Energy (previously Integral) - letter to Bill Watts - copy to David Handley - thanking both for their attention.

Correspondence In:
1. Beyond Blue - Survey.
2. Shoalhaven Heads Rural Fire Brigade - donation of defibrillator.
3. Telstra - Increase in line rental.
4. Elders - Annual Insurance Policy.
5. Email to K. Merrifield from Community Connect - Event approval (Spring Fair).

Correspondence Out:
1. John Hoepper - Letter of thanks.
2. Bill Watts, Integral Energy - re supply to Shed.
3. Mrs. Iris Meehan - Sympathy Card.

It was moved by R. Tilley, seconded K. Merrifield, that Correspondence In be received and Out be endorsed. CARRIED

Business Arising from Correspondence.
1. Beyond Blue - Secretary to return survey.
2. Defibrillator - Shed will accept unit from Shoalhaven Heads Rural Fire Brigade. K. Merrifield and B. Patten will attend meeting on 19th September at 6.30 p.m. to accept the unit.

REPORTS
President Bill is most pleased at the progress that has been made in the clean up of the Shed.

Treasurer Ken circulated the financial statement to the meeting as posted in these Minutes.

Shed Manager - Sorting of sales items is almost finished and Christmas boards will be refurbished this month.

Tool Maintenance - will give a report after sale inspection.

Project Manager - All jobs have been completed. Tall Timbers request for a Tea Trolley has been finished and delivered. Ladies of Tall Timbers made three containers of cakes for morning tea.

Fund Raising - In the absence of A. Foster, A. Webb sent around sheet for Red Cross October Markets. Allan will also report on Primary School Anniversary Fete Day in November.

It was moved by K. Merrifield, seconded B. Patten, that the Reports be received. CARRIED

GENERAL BUSINESS
" Celia Place Spring Fair - Sunday 18th September 2011. Discussion took place on the Fair and our involvement. Ben Patten will provide breakfast from 8 a.m. We will need to be ready by 9 a.m. Three gazebos are to be erected. All sale items will need to be in place before people arrive. The hot water urn will need to be filled and turned on.
" Mirrors for Sale. B. Molyneux will bring mirrors down to Shed for inspection, painting and pricing.
" Arboretum Seating. B. Molyneux and R. Tilley will look at what has to be made.

There being no further business, President Bill closed the meeting at 1.30 p.m.

Visit by Clelland Lodge and R.S.L. 27th September - 1.30 p.m.
Red Cross Markets Saturday 1st October.
Next Meeting Monday 3rd October - Barbecue 11 a.m. - Meeting 12 noon.
