MINUTES OF THE GENERAL MEETING HELD AT THE SHED
ON WEDNESDAY 7TH OCTOBER 2009.

President Graham opened the meeting at 12.30 p.m.
Present: As per the Attendance Book - 21 members.
Apologies: T. Aspin, R. Traynor, A. McAusland, R. Thompson, and P. Armstrong.
Minutes: It was moved by B. Owens, seconded N. Alfonso, that the minutes as circulated be confirmed. CARRIED

Matters Arising from the Minutes:-
Notices of Motion -
1. Having given notice, K. Merrifield moved, seconded B. London, that the General Meeting date revert to the first Monday in each month. CARRIED
2. Charity donation - Moved by K. Merrifield, seconded J. Davis, that the net profit of the Bowling Club Market days be donated to a selected list of local community charities. An amendment to the motion was moved by A. Webb, seconded A. Foster, that a donation after each Bowling Club Market Day be given, at the discretion of the Executive Committee, to a local charity. The amendment became the motion and was CARRIED.
Barbecue - It was moved by A. Foster, seconded K. Merrifield, that we purchase a folding leg square barbecue from Bunnings for $99. CARRIED

1. Shoalhaven City Council - Seniors Week.
2. Men's Shed Australia - newsletter
3. Integral Energy - Christmas motifs permission.

Correspondence Out:
1. B. King - Letter of thanks.
2. Bomaderry Bowling Club - Letter of thanks C.D.S.E.
3. Shoalhaven Heads Bowling Club - Letter of thanks C.D.S.E.
4. Integral Energy - request for mounting Christmas motifs.
5. Integral Energy - Reply with thanks.
6. Tom Phillips - Invitation to Barbecue lunch 30th September 2009.

It was moved by W. Owens, seconded B. London, that the Correspondence In be received and Out be endorsed. CARRIED

Business Arising from Correspondence: Nil.

REPORTS
Treasurer K. Merrifield's report was circulated and is attached to the Minutes in the Minute Book.
Shed Manager very satisfied - very clean Shed.
Project Manager reports that we are generally on top of all projects.
Equipment - We have received a drill press from Berry Men's Shed. We will be given a new large linisher. Old unit to be sold. Richard Steingrube expressed interest.
It was moved by A. Foster, seconded K. Merrifield, that we purchase a new jointer. CARRIED
We have also been donated a large quantity of building materials by Mr. H. Stevenson of Hay Avenue. It was moved by Richard Steingrube, seconded A. Foster, that letters of thanks be forwarded to Mr. Stevenson and Berry Men's Shed. CARRIED

Fund Raising Officers informed the meeting of the Members' Garage Sale on 7th November whereby they can have a stall, if required, to sell their own equipment.

A.Foster asked members to sign on for the Bowling Club Market Day on 31st October and the Bunnings Barbecue on Sunday 29th November.

It was moved by Nelson Alfonso, seconded by R. Harlow, that the reports be received. CARRIED

GENERAL BUSINESS It was moved by K. Merrifield, seconded R. Steingrube, that the Shed purchase a folding ladder from Bunnings for $138. CARRIED

There being no further business, the meeting closed at 1.45 p.m.

The next meeting will be held on MONDAY 2nd NOVEMBER 2009.
